Friday November 18th, mid-morning littleremy February 27 2006, 20:32:30 UTC
Why on earth did these books have to weigh so much? Honestly, they were like ten tonne weight in his arms, and Matthieu groaned minutely as he staggered towards an empty table. Charms, Herbology, Transfiguration, two tomes of each for him to flick through and take homework notes on.

His skinny little arms bent under the weight, and he let out an "oof" of strained exhaustion as the books thunked down on his chosen table. He bent over them, sighed, rubbed at his forehead and sunk into a chair, intent on getting out his newest quill. Why on earth had Remy never told him wizarding books were so heavy before?

"Hello Little Remy," Danny murmured from his corner. He was near to the table Matt had chosen, just near enough for his quiet voice to be heard. "How's tricks?"

He was lounged darkly in an armchair, fitted black slacks and converse sneakers under an untucked shirt and black jumper, tie perfectly knotted. His hair tumbled over one eye. OF course, he knew Matthieu was Remy's because they looked so very alike.

Matthieu turned suddenly at the sound of his brothers name, and stared curiously at this strange Ravenclaw boy who had spoken to him.

"I'm not little." He told the boy, and tilted his head. "Who are you? I've not met you before."

"I'm your brother's... friend," Danny said smoothly. "And you are little, comparatively. Aren't you?" what an adorable boy. If Remy had been this cute, that would mean the boy was gorgeous always.

"My name is Danny."

After breakfast yesterday, and reading the Daily Prophet, Natalie had spent much of the day confined to her room. Rather than being mopey or whatever, though, she'd done quite a bit of studying for Transfiguration, wanting to do well with the new Professor. Which kept her mind off of things.

Not that she hadn't seen this coming.

But Justin had sent her an owl, reassuring her, and that made her feel a bit better, and besides, she couldn't hole up in the common room forever. Maddox would start worrying about her, and she didn't want that. So she was in the library, and though she'd come with every intention of studying Potions, she found herself instead curled up in one of the large armchairs, Wizard Bird, Eliis Graveworthy's first novel, open in front of her.

Bri headed straight for the library after class. She felt like she was just so incredibly behind and it seemed the best place to get caught up. She knew she wasn't likely to get much actual studying done later with Tim, so she figured she should get to it now, before meeting him fr dinner.

She grabbed a few books off various shelves for a little extra research into the areas she'd missed out on and took a seat in an unoccupied chair, very near the one Natalie was occupying.

"Good afternoon, Natalie," she said. She didn't know the older girl well, they'd only spoke a time or two, but when Bri had been a prefect - before she left - she'd made it her business to know every person in her house by name at least.

Natalie looked up when someone greeted her, and said hello almost absently, going back to her book before looking up again just a moment later in shock. Wait a minute... "Bri? When did you get back?" Granted, she didn't know the younger girl very well, but she had known that she had left, and was surprised to see her suddenly in the library.

"Just this morning," Bri replied, looking over to the older girl with a smile. "I guess Father finally decided I'd suffered enough. Though our Professor's don't seem to feel the same. I've so much work, I'll never get caught up." She smiled ruefully and reached for her Potions book, figuring it might be best to get the easier subject out of the way and save the hardest stuff for last.

November 18th, 2005 - Afternoon. slytherinsara March 2 2006, 00:19:06 UTC
So breakfast was a horrid affair, she had sat at the Slytherin table which was good, but she hadn't even tried to look over at the hufflepuff table.

Lunch was just as bad. And don't even get her started on classes, awkward much? extremely. She had been quiet in class and had sat alone, she wouldn't even talk to Anya or even pretended to notice any of them in the class because she was feeling extremely put out.

And Logan's attitude only told her that he -believed- Anya. If she could feel more misrable she didn't want to know. She sat in the Library because it was a comforting place.

she picked one of the empty rows of books, one of the definately lesser used area's, she had a big volume about Hogwarts again, she'd find the room by herself. she'd show them!

Logan still held the book for Sara in his hands, he'd been carrying it around since he'd found it yesterday, but he couldn't even bring himself to face her. He convinced himself over and over that he believed J.J., the entire thing was ridiculous, but... it was just so much easier to believe that little voice in the back of his mind that continuously whispered he wasn't good enough.

He wandered through the library, yawning slightly as he turned the corner to find the most abandoned spot in the library, of course there was Sara... mmm, awks.

"Oh, erm, hey," he blushed instantly, looking anywhere but directly at her.

Sara looked up from her book, she tensed up, pulling herself together, her knees sliding up, and the book pressed to her chest.

"hey" she offered in return.

he couldn't even LOOK at her! she wanted to cry! but she did enough of that yesterday, she looked down at the book, her hands gripping the edges of the book tightly.

"Happy anniversary." she muttered.

Logan glanced up at her in shock, smiling a little... he didn't think she'd actually remember. He nodded at her, wondering how much information she had on the whole ordeal, did she know what Anya had said?

He sighed deeply, pushing the voice in the back of his head away and sitting down next to her, not as close as usual, but still a good distance. He hugged his knees, resting his chin on them, "How're you?"

Lia had, of course, already been in the library for a good hour before the time she was supposed to meet Cody to work on their Divination homework. She wasn't quite finished with it either, but it was carefully tucked under a pile of runes translations that she'd been working on for next week.

Might as well actually be working on the same subject, if they were going to work together.

She bit her lip and tried to concentrate, hoping this wouldn't be...awkward, or anything. And maybe Naia's wrong, anyway, she reasoned. I mean...it could happen, right?

Cody approached the table that he and Lia normally sat at with some trepidation. Naia had said that he hadn't completely freaked her out, but he was still a little bit nervous about this. He needed to prove to her that nothing was different, even though everything was.

"Hey," he said, sitting down. "What's the assignment again?" Oh, Cody. He was not very studious at all.

"Hi," Lia said, smiling slightly. " Tarot cards, remember?" She pulled her essay out from under the translations she'd been working on and carefully smoothed it out on top of the pile.

"Four inches," she added. "Not really all that much, even."

Cody pulled his book out of his bag. "Tarot, huh? I think I figured out what card I was." Cody opened his book and flipped through it, smiling to himself. He pointed to the description. "See, I'm the Magician! It's it great?"

Obviously, he had eaten breakfast. He began to read cheerily, "Manifestation through will. Imagination, concentration, action. Spirit and Matter united.
A young man raises a doubly terminated wand in his right hand. The wand is held vertically, a tool for the unification of heaven and earth. His aura is shown as the horizontal figure eight, symbol of eternity, while about his waist is wrapped the serpen-cinture, the serpent devouring its own tail, another symbol of eternity." He thought for a moment. "Hey! My tarot card is a Slytherin too!"

Tilly was smiling as she wandered into the library. So many of her house mates were crawling around the commonroom or hiding in their beds, suffering from hang overs. But Tilly felt fine. Joys of copious amounts of water and Vegemite on toast before she went to bed! Miracle cure!

She decided, since the chances of running into people was likely to be fairly slim, to go to the library and catch up on some study (and maybe do some research for Rupert).

Georgiana had decided that after the cheering charms incident, and that attrocious party in the Hufflepuff common room, Georgiana decided she was going to spend the majority of Sunday avoiding people. She'd seen far too many of them this weekend.

The library had become the perfect place for this. Georgie ran her fingers over the spines of the books. She had a respect for books. They contained secrets. They could teach you things. Books could be more useful than people.

Tilly looked up when she heard somebody else wandering through the library. The blond girl looked familiar, and Tilly watched her as she wandered around. Who was she? And why did Tilly feel this growing sense of unease when she looked at her.

Georgiana stopped in her tracks when she saw another girl in the library. Great. Was peace and quiet too much to ask for? With Georgie's luck, she'd probably try and strike up a conversation.

Despite the eye contact Georgie had just made with the girl, she was content to go on ignoring her.
