Saturday, February 4th, Breakfast, Slytherin TableslytherinsaraOctober 11 2006, 21:53:01 UTC
Most people slept in on Saturdays, catching a few extra hours of sleep after 5 days of classes bright and early.
Sara of course, woke up bright and early, she dressed in clean and crisp robes and up to the main hall. There weren't that many students just yet in the Main Hall, those that were undoubtly the morning people. she picked out a good spot at the Slytherin table and looked over the menu choices.
She settled on Porridge. Her brothers didn't care much for it, but Sara loved it, she added a bit of brown sugar and milk, stirring it slowly.
She watched as more students filtered into the hall, but today was going to be a relaxing day, she'd already planned out her day, a few hours in the library, a few more finishing homework and probably a nice brisk walk through the grounds before going back to reading she was reading an adventure novel regarding a goblin during the wars.

It seemed the Jenkins children simply didn't appreciate the extra hours of sleep that could be gained from the arrival of the weekend. Jojo was another one of the few students in the school who woke before 9am of his own accord. He would wake around 7am every morning and go for a run, followed by a shower and breakfast. Really, the boy's life was ridiculously structured but it worked and that was what mattered

Sara seemed startled she looked at him in surprize, but offered him a quick smile. They didn't always get along, hell, they had quite a few common traits especially when it came to routines and schedules, something they both got from their mom. their younger brother Daniel on the other hand lived completely in the moment of whatever he was doing. The point was that even though Jojo was Sara's older brother they didn't stick to each other like glue, Sara was far to independant right from the start to look to her brother for guidance

In spite of himself and completely going against his sombre mood, Jojo smiled at Sara's greeting. Really, it was just like her to question his finances. He shook his head slowly, vaguely wondering had Sara heard about him and Calie yet. Not many did, they'd been fairly subtle really

Saturday, February 4th, Lunch, Gryffindor Tableelanor_munwaneOctober 12 2006, 20:09:12 UTC
Elanor sat at the Gryffindor table in front of a plate heaped with food. Weekend meals were even better than those during the week, it seemed to her--like the house elves put in extra work to make lots of good food. She was alone, which was pretty normal for her, even moreso since she'd been appointed prefect. She took a forkful of mash and chewed thoughtfully. Perhaps she'd do a little more homework after lunch--if she was lucky, she'd finish it all today and maybe tomorrow she could have some fun.

Brenna walked into the great hall intending to sit at the Ravenclaw table, but changed direction when she saw Elanor. She certainly liked the other girl well enough, and Brenna thought Elanor was still just a bit too solitary for her social station. She decided she would sit down and talk to her. Elanor was a pureblood, and the more respectable sort, too... when she wasn't punching boys.
"Hello," Brenna said, "do you mind if I join you?"
Re: Saturday, February 4th, Lunch, Gryffindor Tableelanor_munwaneOctober 12 2006, 20:30:39 UTC
Elanor glanced up, "Oh, not at all." She tried to gesture politely to take a seat--but used the hand holding the fork. Her cheeks turned pink as she realized her error of etiquette.
Brenna was Bri's sister and though Elanor had always been better friends with Bri, Brenna had always been pleasant enough, too. It was nice to have company for lunch, at the least.
"Have you been well?" Elanor gazed across her pile of potatoes.

Before Brenna could reply, O'Neill barged in took a seat next to Elanor.
"HEY MUNWANE," he said, way too loudly for indoors, "wot are you eatin'? Food good today?"
He looked up at Brenna and raised a pinky to his mouth, doing his obnoxious Dr. Evil impression.
"Hmmm, lost are you?" He dropped the pinky, "I could swear the boring bookworms sat over THERE," he said, pointing to the Ravenclaw table. He took a bite of food. Brenna was just looking at him.
"Ookay. Me Gryffindor, eat here. You Ravenclaw, eat THERE. In other words, AM-SCRAY!"
Brenna bit her lip and pointedly ignored the stupid boy.
"I've been well." She was hoping she could just pretend the boy wasn't there. Maybe he'd go away.
Breakfast, Claw table, Sunday February the 5thdarianaclawOctober 13 2006, 04:51:07 UTC
Dari was enjoying quite the pleasant breakfast before the Daily Prophet arrived, but then she stopped as she started to flip through the pages and caught sight of a familiar name.
Her father's name, to be precise.
"What?" she whispered to herself, blinking and looking again to be sure she'd seen it right. He hadn't written in a few days, true, but he couldn't be missing. Right? Right.

Tris had slept a little later than she usually did, and found herself scurrying into the Great Hall rather quickly, hoping to catch Dari before she left or something. As she entered, however, she caught glimpse of an abandoned Daily Prophet...
Her hand flew to her mouth as she hurried towards the Ravenclaw table, searching out her best friend. When she spotted her, she quickly slipped into the empty seat next to her. "...Dari?"

Dari bit her lip as she turned to look at her best friend and she shook her head. "It's got to be a misprint, right?" she said quietly. Her lower lip trembled a little and she bit down a little harder, because she really did not want to start crying in the middle of the great hall.

Tris tossed her a sad smile before slipping both arms around her shoulders, resting her chin on one. She sighed a litte as she tightened the hug. "It's gonna be all right, Dari," she muttered. "I--I'm sure he's fine."
She it her own bottom lip after she spoke. "I--I don't think you have anything to worry about."
Sunday February 5th- Breakfastjj_rizzoOctober 13 2006, 15:09:58 UTC
J.J. sat at the Hufflepuff table, pushing his eggs around his plate. For once he wasn't very hungry and didn't know why, since he had started eating more and more as the school year had gone on. It just seemed like he couldn't get enough food in him, must be that bloody metabolism thing mum was always going on about.
Though when the paper was dropped in front of his plate he winced a little, not really wanting to read it. Everyday more people were either dying or missing...it was just ridiculous. And with Sara's father dying yesterday it made it even more real.
Nope he was not going to look at that bloody paper. Not one bit.
Re: Sunday, February 5th, Dinner at the Claw Tablehannah_salixOctober 14 2006, 18:08:21 UTC
Hannah strolled across the Great Hall and sat down across from JFK quite deliberately. "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to eat dessert first?" It seemed that JFK needed to work on his manners, at least his table manners.
As for herself, Hannah began picking at the food in front of her before glancing back at JFK. "So Jamie, how was your weekend?"
Re: Sunday, February 5th, Dinner at the Claw Tablehannah_salixOctober 15 2006, 21:20:39 UTC
A wide goofy grin appeared on Hannah's face at the mention of her weekend. Yes, it had been probably one of the best weekends ever. "Uh, yeah. Mine was good." She blushed and took another few bites of her food until this bit of silliness wore off.
"Uhhh, how's the cake? Good?" Trying to change the subject seemed like a good idea right now.
