I am sitting up, have made tea, and am about to try writing in my journal for a while, to clear my head.  Maybe I'll go back to bed, who knows.

Stayed awake (couldn't help it) until sometime around two.

Woke up at 6.

The one thing I am sure of is that if I'd tried to pull that off it wouldn't have worked.

One of my questions in the five-question meme of a few weeks ago was, "What book or play would you make into a movie, and who would you cast?" It's 4 am and I AM STILL AWAKE.

I have to take my sister's cat to the vet at 10 am. I hope I'm conscious for it. I hope I'm conscious after a deep and restful sleep, because if I'm going to have been up for 24 hours at that point I don't think I'd trust my driving.

(Actually, maybe I should ask S. to drive me (and the cat). He would, I'm sure

I am tired.  I am achy.  My throat hurts.  The arthritis in my right knee (yes, I have that, too) is acting up, after a long hiatus.

But what I am not, is sleepy!

Anybody out there? 

The flip side of a go-go-go-getting day is not being able to turn it off at bedtime. I've taken my sleep aid, I've put on my pajamas, I've curled up in bed with a magazine.

I've been through two magazines and I'm out of bed again, too restless to read, unwilling to watch TV.

Went to bed at 11 or so and woke at 3:40. This seems to be my new pattern: sleep for 4-5 hours, then wake up ( Read more... )

Can't sleep. Don't know why.

I'm going to try doing some housekeeping. I don't feel at my best, but maybe some mild physical activity will make me sleepier.
