Cooked black- and pinto-bean enchiladas for lunch, delighting S., who stopped by. Apparently me cooking a meal has deep resonances for him. He was delighted to be included in the lunch and helped chop some cheese.
Guest Cat has been revealed as a tail-chaser. My sister stopped by on Friday and we had great amusement watching GC carefully stalk her tail. She sat, tensed, first ignoring it (to lull it into a sense of security?) then stared back at it, eyes fixed, unable to look away as that tail tip gracefully undulated. Pounce!
My cat hunted (fur mice, rubber balls, milk bottle rings) rather in the style of a casual tennis player: it was an amusing enough way to spend a bit of time, so why not, but not something he was passionate about. Interacting with humans was much more interesting.
