Thinking about Twitter
I am finding that telling the world about something on Twitter (like having to see an eye doctor this morning to have a torn contact lens fragment removed from my eye) more or less relieves my need to talk about it. So I don't bother reporting it on LJ. Which explains why a lot of poeple seem to have left LJ for Twittering.
Their tweets are charming. And I'm glad I'm receiving them. But I miss their essays. I miss their natural voices without the keep-to-the-point terseness of Twitter.
