If you live in a house with cats, and are trying to change a bed, it is a given that a cat will sit on the bed and make "pet me!" eyes at you, every step of the way.
As you unfold a sheet and stretch it in his direction, he will gracefully leap over it and settle down. As you try to pull down the last corner of a fitted sheet and give the sheet a yank to pick up any remaining slack, he will give a little jump and then glare reproachfully at you. He will do the same with every layer you put on the bed, and finally spread out in happy cat relaxation, purring.
Five minutes after you've left the room, he will follow you out, with an inquiring "Meow?" as if to say, "Hey, you left our game right in the middle!"
