Ollie was more than a little bit restless at the moment. It was the weekend and he'd just finished his shift. Ashleigh had taken off with her husband for some Valentine's surprise and he didn't know if she was back, yet. How many days did they need, anyway? Poor Ollie was bored to death without his best friend and not at all jealous.
He kicked at the ground as he walked away from his workplace, trying to think of something to do. He was young. He was adorable. Obviously, it shouldn't be that difficult to come up with something to do with his time other than pine over his married best friend.
Hopefully, someone would come along to distract him soon.

For Valentine's Day, Ed had taken Ashleigh to the most adorable bed and breakfast she'd ever seen. Originally, they'd only planned to spend the night but, before she'd realized it, one night had turned into three. While she'd had a completely amazing time, she had missed her Ollie more than she could possibly explain and, as soon as she got home, she went in search of him.
Knowing his schedule better than she knew her own, Quality Quidditch Supplies was the first stop on her list. As luck would have it, just as she was coming up the street, he exited the store. Fortunately, though, he didn't see her coming.
Taking a running start, she charged toward him. "Ollie!" she squealed loudly, a massive smile on her face. "I've missed you so much!!"
Before he really had the change to respond to her words, she was practically leaping onto his back and wrapping her arms around him in a very enthusiastic hug.
Had she mentioned how very much she'd missed her best friend?
Re: Saturday February 17, late afternoon, outside quality quidditch suppliesollieollieoxJuly 13 2008, 02:06:27 UTC
Ollie barely had time to place the voice that was squealing his name when he suddenly had a small blonde attached to his back and he grinned broadly as his hands moved automatically to her legs to help pull her up and support her position there.
He was surprised to see her here and very, very pleasantly so. "Ashleigh!" he exclaimed excitedly, reaching behind him and pulling her around his body so he could give her a proper hug. "You're back? I mean of course you're back, because you're here. God I missed you. Never leave me like that again!"
It was a ridiculous request, given that she was married, but Ashleigh was Ollie's best friend. They'd rarely spent time apart in their lives and it was like torture when he couldn't see her for awhile.
Not to mention that whole thing where he was insanely in love with her, but he wasn't going to actually admit to that.

When Ollie's hands moved to her knees to support her weight, she hitched herself a little higher and pressed a kiss to his cheek. Merlin, she'd missed him! Honestly, there weren't enough words in the English language to express just how much she'd missed him. Sure, it was probably a little insane for her to miss him so much but, in her defense, they'd been apart very few times in their lives and it felt... unnatural not to have an Ollie nearby at all times

Ollie would never admit to anyone just how much he loved the feel of Ashleigh's arms around him and the brush of her lips against his cheek. He had to fight not to turn his head and catch her lips with his own, to keep the embrace as platonic as he knew she wanted it to be, but he told himself that this was better than nothing. Than any affection from Ashleigh was to be enjoyed.
He grinned as she mussed his hair, pulling back slightly, but still holding her there against him. "Oh, lost, definitely. It's been agony without you. I can't eat, I can't sleep... my life is just nothing when you're not around."
Yes, he was exaggerating. Completely and totally exaggerating. But he had missed her. Ollie definitely was not the same without his Ash.

Ashleigh was completely clueless when it came to how her best friend really felt about her. They'd known one another since their very first day at Hogwarts. They'd spent nights in the same bed and days curled together on the common room sofa. While she might have entertained the occasional romantic fancy when she first began noticing boys, she was certain he'd never done the same. If he had, surely, he would've made a move on her before now

"Oh, I do. I really do," he agreed, playing along, even if it couldn't be further from the truth. He feigned a good pout, trying to look as pathetic as possible, but it didn't last long, because he couldn't resist breaking into a wide grin.
"My plans... are to tickle you until your sides ache," he teased, reaching for her ribs to demonstrate while keeping a firm hold on her with his other arm.
That sounded like a GREAT way to spend the time, as far as he was concerned. Who cared if her husband wouldn't approve of their current positions? Ash was his best friend and if he wanted to hold her - or tickle her until she had tears in her eyes - that's exactly what he was going to do.

Ashleigh might have been hurt by his eagerness to agree that she was a horrid best friend but she knew that they were only teasing one another and her smile was still firmly in its place

Ollie hadn't quite figured out how this was going to torture him, all the wiggling and squirming she was doing and he had to fight to now show how the sudden friction was affecting him. Especially since he wasn't about to stop tickling her anytime soon.
"AM NOT! AM NOT!" he retorted, his fingers continuing to dance over her ribs as he laughed right along with her. He laughed again at her threats. "You can TRY!" he smirked at her, continuing to torture her.
And torture himself, of course. Why did it have to feel so damn good, having her wiggling against him like this?
Re: Saturday February 17, late afternoon, outside quality quidditch suppliesashleigh_bartonJuly 14 2008, 22:58:28 UTC
Ashleigh squirmed and wiggled as she jumped around, trying to pull away from his tickling fingers. She was nearly crumpled over into a fit of giggles and her face was all but buried in the side of his neck but that didn't stop the constant stream of threats flowing from her mouth.
"I'm... I'm gonna... I'm gonna... I'm gonna hit you so hard for this," she gasped. "You're gonna... you're gonna cry like a baby when I'm ... when I'm finished with you."
She was completely oblivious of any reaction he might be having... other than the obvious, of course. They might have joked with one another often but she didn't think that she had that sort of effect on him. Not even when her legs were wrapped around his waist and she was wiggling like mad.
In a last ditch effort to free herself of this torment, she took one of her own hands and began to let her fingers dance over his ribs. Maybe it was time for a little retaliation.
Re: Saturday February 17, late afternoon, outside quality quidditch suppliesollieollieoxJuly 14 2008, 23:11:13 UTC
Ollie wasn't concerned about her threats. The idea that she could actually hit him hard enough to make him cry was pretty laughable and he chortled with laughter as he kept up the tickle-torture, his fingers dancing over her sides as they had been. He smirked at her reactions and her threats. That was what made this so much fun.
"Hahaha! Nice try!" he taunted when he fingers failed to find a really ticklish spot right away. Okay, so maybe it tickled a little, but he wasn't going to give her the satisfaction of knowing that.
His own hands worked with more purpose. The more he tickled her, the harder it should be for her to really retaliate.
Re: Saturday February 17, late afternoon, outside quality quidditch suppliesashleigh_bartonJuly 15 2008, 04:48:38 UTC
If Ashleigh had been capable of thought, she would've been quite annoyed with just how unaffected he was by her threats. She was... completely terrifying! She was... a force to be reckoned with! She was very tired of no one taking her threats seriously.
She practically collapsed against him when her own fingers seemed to go unnoticed over his side. "So... not fair!" she groaned as she continued wiggling this way and that.
"Stop, Ollie!" she commanded between gales of laughter. "I'm gonna... I can't breathe... I'm gonna pee!" When those half truths seemed to have no effect on her best friend, she sent her own fingers back to work, hoping that she would find a sensitive enough spot to pull a reaction from him.
"I'm gonna... Ollie! I'll bite you!" she threatened, pressing her teeth against his shoulder to prove her point.
What she wouldn't give to be as strong as he and Ed were. They'd never have her begging for mercy again!
Re: Saturday February 17, late afternoon, outside quality quidditch suppliesollieollieoxJuly 15 2008, 05:10:10 UTC
"You're going to... BITE me?" Ollie snorted at her continued threats, a devious smirk on his lips when she added that one. "Is that supposed to discourage me?" Seriously, he definitely wasn't going to complain if she did try that. Why would he? He was pretty sure it would be an enjoyable thing.
He raised an eyebrow at her when she pressed her teeth against his shoulder. Oh, yeah. He definitely wouldn't be stopping for that that. In fact, he let out an exaggerated moan, as if to encourage her.
"Oh, baby, you know I love it when you're rough with me," he purred, his fingers slowing a little, but still not stopping.
Re: Saturday February 17, late afternoon, outside quality quidditch suppliesashleigh_bartonJuly 16 2008, 03:47:48 UTC
"Yes!" Ashleigh tone was completely serious. Well, as serious as it could be when her words were forced out between giggles. "If you don't stop, I'm going to bite you!" He might not have believed it but she meant business. She would bite him... and she would bite him hard too.
Of course, she wasn't thinking about the fact that he could actually get pleasure from being bitten. Maybe it sounded horribly vanilla but she and Ed weren't usually rough with one another. Well, they didn't bite. They nipped and nibbled but they most certainly didn't bite one another in the way she was threatening to bite Ollie.
Which meant, of course, that when Ollie actually moaned a bright, crimson blush flooded over her cheeks, neck, and ears.
"I'm... I'm gonna be rough with you!" she retorted, unable to come up with a better comeback.
As punishment for her behavior, she dipped her head back to his shoulder and she did bite him. She wasn't trying to take a chunk of flesh out of his body, mind you, but she did bite him hard enough to leave a mark.
Re: Saturday February 17, late afternoon, outside quality quidditch suppliesollieollieoxJuly 16 2008, 04:06:25 UTC
"Good! I like it rough!" Ollie let out a deep laugh as she continued trying to threaten him with things that were hardly a bad thing in his mind. Really, was that the worst she could do?
"Ohhhhh, Ashleigh... harder!" His groan was only partly feigned when she did bit down on his shoulder. Oh, sure, it hurt, but Ollie had always had a thing for pain and this was no exception. It really was a shame that she was only playing around.
He smirked, anyway, letting his fingers dance across her ribs again before nipping playfully at her neck. All in good fun, right? It was a convenient excuse, anyway.
Re: Saturday February 17, late afternoon, outside quality quidditch suppliesashleigh_bartonJuly 18 2008, 05:09:45 UTC
Ashleigh was really frelling tired of being underestimated. She was to be feared! Her threats were to be taken seriously! She was a... savage beast of a Gryffindor! She was a Lion!!
"You're completely and utterly impossible!" she groaned in half annoyance when he practically moaned for her to bite him harder. However, she did as he asked and bit him again, this time a tad bit harder.
She was crumpled over as his fingers continued moving along her ribs and she was laughing loudly until his teeth nipped at her skin. "Oi!" she exclaimed, as she tilted her head to the side in an effort to cut off all accessibility. "You're... I'm going to get you for that!"
Her own fingers moved with more purpose over his ribs and she nipped at his shoulder again.
Yeah... they'd very obviously missed one another. Usually, they weren't nearly as insane... especially in the middle of the sidewalk.
