So wildfires are nothing new in Texas. It's dry as hell normally, and windy, but this year we have a very bad drought on top of that. The news has been talking about fires in West Texas for several days, but today it was local - South Austin. The 'Y' at Oak Hill, for those who know the town. Over a hundred acres burned, and hundreds of people evacuated. I don't know about lives lost, but homes were destroyed.
We need rain. Gesperately. But the way the forecast looks, it's not coming any time soon.
