the goings on of this week
I had an eventful week, the first one in awhile that seemed full. All of my weeks are full, because I am constantly working, schooling, getting stressed. But this week was good because it was full of working and schooling, but also days off, time in bed, actually seeing friends, seeing family, good food, good (and terrible) beer, discovering jameson and ginger ale, and discovering twitter.
Monday: Went to my first day of class, physical geology, worked at Luxton, grilled cheese, going to the CC Club with Liz and Donovan and somehow us going through 3 pitchers of beer. Being really drunk and eating topperstix and watching Fred/Undressed.
Tuesday: Went to work, first choir rehersal, joined the madrigal ensemble.
Wednesday: Second day of class, didn't make it to pilates because there was NO PARKING, worked at Luxton.
Thursday: Worked at the Y, Luxton was canceled!!!!!!!!!! Hung out with Ryan and had a merry time.
Friday: Worked at the Y, toured and talked to a St Kates counselor, began application process. Went to "Shamrocks" with Ryan and Greg, a bar on W 7th and sat through "Chronic" the worst cover band ever because it was loud and their version of taking it down a notch was playing "Shine" by Collective Soul. Shoot me please! Had a good burger and a couple of pints of Harp.
Saturday: Worked on college application, actually had a really good talk with Emily (my soon to be sister in law), and did a food tasting for the wedding reception with Mom, Danny, Dan, Jill, Ryan and me. Then we went to Moe's and I had that amazing red pepper dip again.
Sunday: Went to church, bought .90 candle holders at World Market (which is closing. WHY?!?!?!) for the wedding, cleaned the buildings, then went to Luce with Chris and Kristina who are Ryan's college friends who I love, then went to 3Rock for $2 mystery beer night. Greg then met us there. Here is the rainbow of beers we were fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to sample: Snow Cougar, Corsairs Orange Squeeze, Old Milwaukee, Cold Spring, Woodchuck Aged Oak, Lucky, Furthermore Pepper, Furthermore Proper, Bud Light Lime, Blackthorn Cider, Beer 30 Light, Kokanee Glacier Beer, and Bud American Ale. Also discovered the TV show Gaki http://www.hulu.com/watch/49359/gaki-episode-1 which is really fucked up.
Monday: Had an ikea trip with Liz and did not spend too much! Went to Chipolte and David's Bridal, had a battle of the dresses, and Liz was the first bridesmaid to try on the bridesmaid dress, and it looked cute and sassy. Then we picked up City and Colour tix (me and Danny are going Friday) at the Loring Pasta Bar. I got a much needed hair cut and brow wax, worked on homework, made a bomb panini sandwich, and now me and Ryan are going to practice madrigals!
I don't know why I feel the need to give a blow by blow of the week, it's unlike me, but why not huh?
