New job and other news
I'm entering my 3rd week at Shopper's Drug Mart this week and I must mention how much I'm enjoying it so far. The staff I work with are fantastic and the hours I'm getting are great, despite the fact that they only hired my part time. I have to work the odd night until midnight but meh. It's midnight now so what's the difference?
Father's Day weekend is officially over. Phew. I got through it alive. Seeing my father again was nice but I still got the whole "It's only been 5 months" remark. I guess it should be expected. I still don't keep in touch with him as much as I should but I just feel much more relieved without the frequent contact. Even when I saw him this passed weekend, he was interrogating me about my future and school business. The questions just kept coming and it made me second guess as to whether or not I was making the right choices or not. He made me feel as if the choices I made for the future aren't going to be successful. I don't know. Maybe I'm just second guessing myself as I quite often do.
I discovered "Hot Rats" by Frank Zappa on vinyl today. What a find! I was very eager to spend the $12 to finally own it.
I've been pondering as to what I should invest my pay checks into over the next few weeks. I've decided that a new CD deck and speakers in my car is where the money will go to. And how might have the money to spare on such a thing you might ask? Well it turns out my grandfather is footing the tuition bill. He sent the check the other day. What a weight to lift off my shoulders. Now all I have to worry about is paying off the good old credit card debt.
Now I shall sleep. Working late tomorrow!
Is anyone as excited for the jazz festival as I am? Can't wait!
