Arm Hole Shaping on a sweater knit in the round

Hello all! Happy new year.

I'm knitting two precious little sweaters for a family friend who is pregnant with twins.

On size 6 needles, I have 70 stitches that I am knitting in the round. I've gotten it all up until the tricky part - the arm holes. I've completely messed up more than once and had to unravel a bit and carefully catch them on a needle. I've tried BOing a few stitches every row, but the yarn pulls across and that won't work in terms of putting an arm through it (unless the babies are amoebas, in which case, I'm already fascinated.)

This would have been a lot easier if I'd done it front/back, but it's too late now. Any advice?
