I really loved last night's HIMYM too. It came through on angst and on comedy. :) Plus, it gave me the Barney/Lily/Marshall moment I've always wanted. :P

Barney/Lily/Marshall moments are the BEST. Barney sleeping in Marshall and Lily's bed was the highlight of the episode for me. Love it when crack!ships feature in canon!

I don't ship Ted/Robin either (though I used to, back in the good old days of Seasons 1 and 2). Watching Ted proclaim his love to Robin just made me feel like he's clinging onto every last bit of hope of having someone to settle down with, and it's so sweet and sad at the same time. If I could, I would have ran up to Ted and showered him with hugs!

When I first watched it, I shipped Ted/Robin, too! My ex tried to get me on it, and I swear this happened:

ME: So, what, are Ted and Robin getting together?
HIM: They can't. Remember, he said, 'Aunt Robin.'
ME: But...
HIM: She's getting together with Barney.
ME: Wait. Who's Barney?
HIM: The guy with the suit. Neil Patrick Harris?
ME: Who?

I didn't get to see this until lunchtime today, but I dove on it like a rabid wildebeest. This was classic HIMYM, angst and comedy and all that love all over the place. Must let it sink in and rewatch before commenting.

Angst, comedy, love...always the three things that make an episode memorable. Definitely my fav of the season so far, and here's to hoping that the seven remaining episodes will match up!

I'm seriously holding onto the theory that Robin's wardrobe malfunction is deliberately related to being with Kevin (just like Barney's ducky tie supposedly symbolises girls who aren't Robin). She actually looked gorgeous in this episode. The light brownish blazer/jacket reminds me of the one she was wearing in "Disaster Averted" when she made out with Barney!
