Costume query

Ladies, I am going to the Goodwood Revival this year, which means that I will need a 1940s outfit for a Sunday in mid-September.

Does anyone have anything in size 14-16 that they might be willing to lend or sell cheaply?

Amy just bought something from New Look the other week that was 40's ish and about £25, give her buzz and maybe she can give you the code from the label.

Or you can borrow - I have a couple of tea-dress type dresses. One is 14 and the other is a very generous 12 (I would say, actually a generous 14).

I am guess you don't take the same shoes size as me, as I have these heeled two tone brogues, but they're size 5.

Or you could blow a load of cash at Tara Starlett (it is a very good website, but all their prices just went up - however, you would look very hot in many of their clothes).

Thanks Amy, I might take you up on the borrowing offer (not the shoes though - my plates of meat are more like hunks of steak). I want to catch up with you guys anyway, but much will depend on finding a mutually convenient hole in the schedule.

I could probably have things transported to someone in Birmingham via the expediency of Odyssey, though that would be less fun than you rifling through my wardrobe. Call us and we can discuss what you would like to try on and I can make a bag up.

It occurs to me that both these dresses are going to be a smigde shorter on you than me ;) You'll possibly end up being somewhat racey for the period.

I just wanted to say thanks again for the offer. I think I am sorted with cheap charity shop fayre now, so won't need to borrow. The offer is much appreciated though.

xx

Thanks, but that's beyond my budget at the moment.
