This weekend I totally slept in on Saturday - until 1pm! ephraim was on Izzy duty, but I expected him to wake me a little earlier than that. Not complaining at all though.

Once up we got ourselves over to Kings Heath to deliver the said Izzy to nyarbaggytep and Rob in a sneak preview style. Thanks again guys, I hope she behaved herself as it's a bit late to be put off now!

The reason for said delivery was that we (being ephraim, philoko, rjstra and I) were off to Merry Hell to do Mazda's "Urban Car Games", which involved driving into a very big football a few times to shoot goals(unfortunately they wouldn't let me do a handbrake turn into it - spoilsports), turning round in a tight space quickly without hitting anything (apart from when looking at rjstra, of course) and showing off their ABS by stopping on simulated black close to a target (which ephraim found easier without the ABS than with it). It was a bit tamer than expected, but a different way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Shame about the venue.

Then it was off to town for some of us in aid of philoko's birthday. Much booze fun was had by all, although I did start to flag a bit by about 2am. Fortunately I got a second wind at 4.30, although I was quite glad when shabbadobbin suggested that we leave (at about 5.15am) as we had been in that bar far too long. I felt a bit guilty, like I'd dragged the birthday boy home early. I love Subside, but I'd pretty much hit my limit for one evening.

And Tim made me cheese on toast when we got back, lovely man.

Sunday saw the Mr, the Little Miss and I trundle off to Shelsley Walsh for their "Big One", being the biggest hill climb event of their season. I got to ogle the boss's nice Ferrari, amongst other things (there were hundreds of Alfas there). Unfortunately Izzy was uncharacteristically not in the mood for car watching, so it was all a bit fraught and we left before the end. :-( Still, good to get out and about, especially since it was the first dry and sunny day we've had in a little while. That hasn't lasted though.
