This morning ephraim and I have been looking at things for children's rooms. I have found the gender stereotypes to be shocking - why on earth do things need to be labelled as "for girls" or "for boys"? Why does it seem that there's almost always only a choice between something pale pink with princesses on or an identical thing in blue with tractors on? ( Read more... )

Ugh. I hate those kind of gender stereotypes. Shame there isn't wallpaper based on Where The Wild Things Are or The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Where the Wild things are scares little little kids, (generally I'm sure not in all cases but my lil sissies didn't dig WTWTA for a few years I mean think about it from an 10 months old point of view...anyway, no, in general that is.

Pssibly one of the most brilliant kids books evah, you'll get about ten copies of it from peeps, smile and make like it's the only one each time;)
Also must haves for the descerning genius/evil mastemind to be; The Very Hungry Catapillar and The Very Busy Spider.

Ah - I have read The Very Hungry Caterpillar (assuming that's the one where he eats too much and throws up) but have not yet come across the other two. I guess I shall wait and see...
