I watched Amazing Grace tonight. It's about William Wilberforce, who was an MP in 1770s-18somethings, opposed cruelty to animals, workers, and prisoners, outspoken women and labor unions, seditious meetings and writings, debauchery, slavery, and the slave trade. In other news, I just finished watching The Great Dictator. D'aw so warm-fuzzies at the end! The blurbs all say the movie is about the swap of a Jewish barber and anti-Semitic dictator but that happens in like, the last ten minutes. We watched Swing Kids the other night. I couldn't sleep that night, and now I'm good but I wanted to share my thoughts. I'd always heard it was wicked mediocre, if something can be wicked mediocre, but I thought it was great. I am soooo loving their lineup. I just finished "The Howards of Virginia"-- starring Cary Grant as a backwoods surveyor-turned-Burgess-turned-soldier who is pals with the ol' TJ (they're both from Ablemarle) and marries a high class Peyton with an Asshole Snob Older Brother.
