i'm starting to like the idea of trying to post something everyday...gives me time to reflect on things that have happened during the day...whether it be major or not...i still like to think about it. i'm gonna try and keep up the habit of posting something on a rather consistent basis.
well...lets see...today was rather crazy to say the least...my lovely day started with my phone going crazy at about 9 am with the secretary from work frantically trying to get me into work to unload a delivery truck that showed up waaaaaaaaay to early...we're talking three hours...i'm already supposed to be there at 10 anyway to do an install. so i get up and leave and get through with unloading the truck, then get everything together and go deliver and setup a tv, which is becoming a rather common occurence...i dont mind...i like getting out of the store...except that today was an exception....i get back....mind you i was supposed to have the day off today....i get back to find a list of other things mike needs done....and i need to get all this done before my rehearsal for the kronos concert at 7....so my task for the next hour and a half involve getting together two deliveries and a full fledged install...alll of which miraculously fits in my van. so i deliver the first tv, and then a pair of speakers. then its off for the full install with a nice stand, a 55" tv, and a whole 5.1 surround sound setup. i guess i had the wrong impression on how long this would take...or maybe i just wasn't thinking clearly..i ended up spending about 3 hours on it...which i guess is an ok time..considering i did the whole thing by myself, running cables and everything...i guess today was pretty productive and i really proved my worth around the store....for like bazillionth time...but ever so much so today....puttin in 9 hours on your day off can't hurt i guess...cept it does ruin any other plans you might have had....eh...there's always another day for racquetball. i manage to get to rehearsal just in time. i realized i hadn't had anything to eat all day...so after a descent rehearsal me, j-dog, and jo went to this cool place called alphi's up on roosevelt...some mighty good burgers up there...highly recommend it...the place looks like a medeival tavern inside and out so the atmosphere is very cool...now i'm home writing a blog lol...so yeah...today was crazy and aggravating...we'll see how tomorrow goes....i think i woulda enjoyed the install more if i had known about it ahead of time..not like...2 hours before hand...but it happens
on a side note, i can't wait to actually get on a real stage again...maybe i'll snap out of social boundaries and just have fun with it....a stage does that too...no matter how hard i try to imagine something else as a stage, its never as good as actually being on one. argh...like a pirate
lets see...the thought of the blog for today will be...: what is the coolest place you've ever been...somewhere really amazing you would never mind going back to again. i have a tie...philmont scout ranch in new mexico...some absolutely amazing pristine wilderness to hike in...was an absolute blast....and then key west...never a dull moment...sailing, snorkeling, sunset festival, good food, street entertainment...both of these i experienced through scouts and still had a blast...key west might be more fun without the scout part due to restrictions and crud...but i guess only a return trip will tell...lol
peace out
