You know what I just realized? I was so busy being charmed by the whole idea that Johnny offered to marry Tanith to get her citizenship to go through (and contemplating the fic ideas thanks to
harriet_vane) that I forgot to be offended that Tanith left Canada for the US! What the hell?
Also, I have been in love with the song
I Am Not a Robot by Marina and the Diamonds for a very, very long time. But I realized recently that it is the most perfect Johnny/Evan song ever. Well, maybe not the most perfect, but it's definitely up there.
Unrelatedly - you know what I love? Farmer's markets! There's one right near my house every Saturday, and then another, larger one just a little ways' away on Sundays! And I basically want to go every week, for the samples and the awesome food and interesting truffles (dark chocolate and blue cheese!) and just the genuinely nice people. Last week I had four different people compliment my skirt.
Wow, this entry has little-to-no substance, huh? Um...have a book rec, while I'm here! I don't normally read non-fiction, but
saramir recommended The Geography of Bliss to me, and I am in love with it. I got it from the library and read it ridiculously fast, and then immediately went out and bought it, because I knew I would want to read it again. Here, let me c/p a blurb for you:
Weiner, a veteran foreign correspondent for National Public Radio, has covered a multitude of catastrophes and maladies from more than 30 countries over the past two decades. For The Geography of Bliss, however, he decided to tell the other side of the story by visiting some of the world's most contented places. He goes to Iceland, Thailand, Bhutan, England, Switzerland, Qatar...and I'm definitely forgetting some. But basically I just love the voice.
Hope everyone is having an excellent weekend!
