I think next Sunday I'll to the LA Book Fest. That sounds like fun, but only if I can weasel a little cash out of my mother. Probably what will happen is that I'll meet some of the ladies off the Viggo message board because some are planning to go there. Plus Vig's publishing company will be working with a booth there and selling some stuff. I doubt he'll actually be there though. A shame.
But that seems fun.
So if anyone wants to go, let me know.
I sometimes wish I used this like I used to. I would want to run home so I could report the goings on in the LJ for the world to see. But now its not like that. Not that I feel I've outgrown it. But maybe I just don't have anything to say? Or maybe I'm selfishly caught up in my own life that I can't read about everyone else's lives the way I used to. Its very strange. I usually don't like to write out an entry that is directly points out the fact that other people read this. Know what I mean? Like I'm making an entry for someone other than myself. But it kinda relates.
Lately I've just been working on my "art" and trying to stay offline as much as possible. I'm actually excited for once in a long long time. I'm happy to be making things, and happy about the things I can possibly do. I feel unblocked, albeit a bit short of ideas. But I'm not letting that stop me.
I'm still unsure of my promotion at work. It looks like a go, but they're still discussing it. We're doing a complete renovation of my floor, so things got a bit stalled when we all had to move all of our stuff. My boss said on Wednesday they'd resume discussions and all that. Personally I'm excited, though I'm not sure if I should be yet. I'm hopeful though. From past experiences I doubt it would have been brought up to me if there wasn't a very good possibility. We'll see.
Monica from work actually DIDN'T flake on me today. We had lunch. But ti was three hours later than I expected. So that was kinda uncool.
¡Viva Pan Dulce! for reals.
