I want to see how many times I can say "it was" in this entry

I'm back home safe from Arizona. It was nice.
We did all kinds of tourist-y things like visit the Grand Canyon and the Wapatki Indian Ruins.
It was very lovely there. It was raining most of the time. There were thunderstorms in middle of the desert.
Ok, I give up on the "it was" thing.

When we visited the Indian ruins a storm came in and we could see thunder and lightning all across the desert. Very beautiful.

I took several rolls of photograpsh, but I have to wait until I have money to develop them. I left the dij at home.

I got to see Punk Rock Millie, and we caused some ruckus and whatnot. That's what punk rockers do, you know.

I realized why I enjoy being with my dad and stepmom so much more than I like being here. Here I'm always tense and poised for an argument with my mom. Everything that comes out of her mouth is judgemental, angry, or pointless. But around my dad we have actual discussions about politics and arts. He also listens when you talk, and comments. He seems like he actually ::shock:: CARES! That's hard for my mother to comprehend.

But I shouldn't be so hard on her. She wanted to do something different for Easter. We ended up going to Santa Monica Promenade, which was fun. We had dinner down there and she bought me a record. So I had that going for me. She'd never been so I led the way. It was kind of a nice bonding moment. Hah.
