"B) Undergraduates - Finalists
1. Students with 20 or fewer credits of marks missing:
Students with 20 or fewer credits of marks missing will be awarded 120 credits, given a weighted average based on the credits which have been assessed, and a degree class will be allocated based on that average. This same course of action will be available to Boards of Examiners in regard to any students who have missed assessments with good cause (e.g. illness). The measures below, on the other hand, apply only to students with marks missing as a result of the AUT action.
2. Students with more than 20 credits of marks missing, but not more than 40 credits:
Students with more than 20 credits of marks missing, but not more than 40 credits, will have a mark of 40 (they're having a fucking laugh, right?) attributed to the missing credits. A weighted average will then be calculated using these marks and a degree class allocated based on that average.
3. Students with more than 40 credits of marks missing, but not more than 60 credits
Students with more than 40 credits of marks missing, but not more than 60 credits, will be awarded an unclassified Honours degree provided that, as a result of attributing a mark of 40 to the missing credits, the weighted average is 40 or more. Students on Integrated Masters degree will receive an unclassified Masters degree and a classified Bachelors degree in the first instance.
The interim degree certificate will show for example "BA (Honours)" but will not use the term "unclassified".
4. Students with more than 60 credits of marks missing (or, following the above measures, with a weighted average below 40)
Students with more than 60 credits of marks missing (or, following the above measures, with a weighted average below 40) will have their papers and/or coursework marked (if applicable) and the option of undertaking their postponed assessments at the first possible opportunity with a view to qualifying for the award of a degree."
What the hell does that mean?
