Weekly Summary
The Doctor is now nearly exclusively living with Theta in the red TARDIS. He's even got a room there!
The Doctor met Theta's Jack (eramquodes ) for the first time. It doesn't go quite well. The Doctor needs a filter sometimes.
The Doctor's Jack (torturedright ) meets and woos Alec Havelock... But it's for nefarious purposes. He gets very possessive and the Doctor? Well, there's a bit of jealous there, yeah?
The results of the conversations with the two Jacks leave the Doctor with a heavy case of the Master's drums. He passes a fruit stall and sees his arch nemesis, pears, for sale...and then kills the owner for it. The Master's drums are satisfied, but the Doctor ends up shaken. He bloodies his Jack's suspenders before returning to the red TARDIS to get cleaned up. Theta (handoften ) is good with handy wipes.
Sometime later, Theta and the Doctor head to the Market to relieve some stress. The Doctor has decided to start wearing bright colored t-shirts instead of dress shirts and ties. They have a bonding moment before it's interrupted by a rude delivery boy. The drums begin again the Doctor finds himself compelled to kill the kid by bashing his head into the alley pavement. Theta finishes the job with his disruptor, cleans the Doctor up once more, and then they go to get lunch.
The Doctor visits Alec Havelock t o warn him about Jack's obsession.
The Doctor's Jack has a mini breakdown and won't stop thrashing about and singing. With his hands occupied keeping Jack still, the Doctor uses his mouth to get him to be quiet...he gets a very good snogging for his trouble and then his lip bit open.
Lamenting his bloody lip, the Master (themastereffect )comes by to ridicule the Doctor. They decide to go somewhere else....San Helios prior to the Swarm. The Master demands to have his drums back. Forehead to forehead, he and the Doctor share a moment when each of them realize that the other has a piece of them inside the opposite Time Lord. Afterward, the Doctor innocently questions Theta about why kissing has to hurt. Theta comforts the Doctor and thus begins the Doctor's confusion on the subject.
The Doctor tries to confront his Jack about Alec. It goes...bad.
The Doctor half confides in Theta that he knows something is wrong with the Universe...all the universes, really. They have a good cuddle as they are apt to do and Theta is left thinking about the Doctor's cryptic answers.
Alec was spirited away by his own Doctor (perfect_ten10 ) before Jack could snatch him. Jack is NOT happy.
The Doctor's Jack has killed another Doctor in cold blood. The Doctor catches him in the act but is too late to do anythng about it. He makes Jack promise not to touch Theta and Jack calls Theta the Doctor's "Fuck toy." Afterward, Jack and the Master take that TARDIS.
The Doctor has no idea what a fuck toy is, so he asks. A Rose traveling with a Jack and a Doctor that are not her own has chips and tea with the Doctor. Another Rose (storms_rose ) shows up with a TARDIS...and the Doctor realizes that it is HIS Rose. He finds out that his own metacrisis grew a TARDIS out of coral but something went wrong and Rose became the Bad Wolf again, doing to the metacrisis what she did to Jack to save his life. Still reeling from that, the Doctor finally gets his answer to the question from Theta himself...and learns that Theta and Theta's Jack engage frequently in sex. The Doctor leaves in disquiet.
The Doctor's a little more broken after that. His comfort comes from breaking off from himself. Theta is there to scoop him back up. By now, the Doctor has completely given up his three piece suit style in favor of loud colors, mismatched patterns and the like stolen from Theta's closet. They part ways. Theta needs to defuse his Jack's tensions and they both mention that they'd like to see each other that evening and wish the other to be safe.
The Doctor realizes that he needs to do something. Anything. To save the broken people of his universe.
