Sunday night, and all's not well.

I am feeling a little weird at the moment. Maybe it's just cabin fever. It's been raining nearly all day, and when you live in a 15ft caravan, it can make you go a little bit crazy. Our friends, Kev & Sue, came out for a short visit this afternoon, so that broke the day up a bit. We then went to the local pub for dinner, which was very nice.

I am glad we have decided to move on from here. Today the police arrived to warn us that there were some "shady" characters who'd been thrown out of the show grounds in Canungra. Simon the policeman, told us they'd steal anything, even if it was bolted down. We were told to definitely NOT let them stay, to send them packing. We don't need this. We live a simple quiet life, we don't want to be worried that the next car that pulls in might have undesirables in it. **sigh**

We finally found out some information about our new caravan. We'd been phoning the dealer who sold it to us, and he kept telling us he'd call the factory and call us back. He never did. We started to get anxious as we thought perhaps the company had "folded" just like a lot of other caravan manufacturers have done recently. In the end we phoned the factory direct, and were told immediately, that "no, our van has been started yet, but will definitely be ready by March". Man! that's all we needed to know. The factory then rang the dealer & gave them a bit of a rev about not dealing with clients correctly. The dealer then rang & apologised, saying he was embarrassed because initially he had told us the van MIGHT be ready in January. All we wanted was reassurance that all was ok. And it is, but we had to find out ourselves. This is NOT the way people want to be treated.

Oh well, that's my whine for tonight. Have a good night everyone.
