nightmare bosses
I just think it sends me that there are some men and women that are so up their own asses that after a week there suddenly I was just doing everything wrong to the point that I can't even write a simple email without this woman somehow taking offence to it. My sister was honestly so baffled and stated that her husband (my brother-in-law) has a well-paying job and his boss still knows he's always looking around and doesn't take offence to it, let alone a fucking VOLUNTEER.
I had to call one of my teachers to let her know what happened because I don't want it to seem like I was miserable, because as much as this woman found fault in EVERYTHING, I was still enjoying my time with the kids. If anything, when I started ignoring her ass right back and spending more time with them, it was a lot more enjoyable. And while she shouldn't be giving me criticism IN FRONT of the kids, and my teachers have stated this too, a lot of the advice WAS helpful!
I'm just frankly shocked my sister even suggested I go there to begin with after how they treated her. Yeah she shouldn't have just not shown up, but put yourself in her shoes. This woman hires a new ECE, most definitely does not see Montessori training on her resume, yet people working there take potshots at her for not knowing Montessori in the meetings to the point this early 20-something ends up in tears. But someone who IS training in Montessori, you won't even hire as an assistant at the VERY least after hiring someone else in front of her, then suddenly you're shocked this VOLUNTEER is looking around at other places? Like how far up your own ass do you gotta be to actually take offence to this?
Just incredibly insulting too to suddenly pull the "well on our phone conversation" and "well your last email" like lady maybe you should uh ANSWER that email to begin with indicating you agree? At the VERY LEAST. I am not going to waste my time volunteering for 6 hours a day when I can be PAID to do that somewhere else, somewhere that actually answers my messages. Get over yourself.
Also is she genuinely fucking stupid? Because before these fucking emails her last email indicated she didn't want me doing practicum there for the next seven months. Not just indicated lmao but fully says it. She thinks I'm not gonna keep that as proof to my teachers she clearly wasn't gonna hire me? If you were then 7 months there wouldn't be a problem!
I also wonder if the other workers there are confused too. You terminated a volunteer's practicum because she's looking around? Not even working somewhere else just... looking around? For a proper job? Does any reasonable person not see how weird that is? I know my whole family and the message boards I've been venting it agree lmao ooh reddit I forgot about there!
I just wanna get my stuff on Wednesday, I hope the other woman is in so I can just walk in without hassle and walk out. Like I'm just not in the mood. My sister thinks I should send a message back pointing more stuff out but what would that accomplish? This woman is clearly out of her fucking mind and not replying "wellll" every damn time if anything makes me look a lot more clear-headed than her. I got message boards for that shit and I DID tell my teacher this stuff at least.
