Ending Well

So yesterday ended up a little bit weird too; Bodie gave us a scare in the morning with a hurt paw but recovered on his own by the afternoon, and then he was a little dork at puppy class and was picking on other puppies, so we have him scheduled for a special socialization session on Monday.

But! the week is ending on a better note.  I heard back from L&I on my injury, they have accepted my impairment rating after all, and we received a check for the settlement amount.  It was several thousand dollars, and it is really going to help things not feel so tight while I continue looking for a job without the benefit of unemployment benefits.

Then, at "work" today, the Norton specialists actually gave up on the virus cleaning and "escalated" the issue to a reformat-reinstall.  I couldn't help thinking that I could have done that two days ago, but at least the computer is clean and virus-free--and better than ever, since now it has a shiny brand-new copy of Norton Antivirus installed, instead of relying on the free AVG software that is worth what you pay for it.  I still have some software and documents to re-install, but I am confident that I can restore mostly everything from where we are now, so we are feeling much more relaxed than we have since Tuesday morning.

So, to celebrate both of those things, we treated ourselves to a really nice dinner at our favorite restaurant, Sushi Connections.  I asked for some omakase, and Johnny made me some beef sashimi and an Assassin Roll (tempura shrimp roll breaded and fried, topped with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, and jalapeños).  I had lots of good sushi and came home happy. :)

So hopefully the weekend can follow along the same note.  We got a loaner prong collar for Bodie, and he seems to be responding well, so I think he is on his way to being a good boy again.  I'm going to try to get the housework caught back up, and maybe I will be able to play some more Mahjong or Pokémon this weekend.  Whatever I do, I am going to try to breathe a little easier for a couple of days!
