3-day post diet recap

I measured my body fat at the gym today after my "glycemic index reset." Here are the results:

Weight: -4 pounds (from 162 to 158)
Fat%: slightly up?! (from 14.3% to 15%)

Now, it's possible I lost more muscle than fat, or more water than I thought, but I felt and appeared hydrated throughout the diet, and I stopped the diet on Monday, so any water weight would have returned by now. And while my weight varies with hydration and time of day, I know I'm lighter than I've been for quite awhile.

I credit the apparent increase to equipment variability. I can physically see better abdominal definition, so I will continue to believe I lost at least some fat.

I was happy enough with the diet, overall, that I'm going to try to continue glycemic index-conscious eating. I'm grabbing a couple books from the library to learn more about the foundations and expected health benefits of the eating philosophy.
