Bad news travels quickly?
I received an e-mail today thanking me for my interest in Google, but that they didn't think that Software Engineer (the position I flew out to Mountain View for) was a good match and that they wouldn't be giving me an offer for that position. I wasn't supposed to hear back until Wednesday, so it is a little discouraging that they were able to come up with a response so quickly, but perhaps they have truly made their process more efficient.
However, fifteen minutes prior to receiving this e-mail I received another one from Google asking me when I was available in the next week for a phone interview for Associate Project Manager (another position I had put my resume in for). So I guess I'll see how that goes and I might be flying out to Mountain View again if things go well.
In other news, this week I have a paper to write, an interview at Microsoft, and a Networks Final, then the semester is over. The end is in sight!
