right, the oscars!
jon stewart did an AMAZING job. i was laughing my ass off... i mean, and awards show that was actually entertaining and funny! woulda thunk? i was very impressed, and i hope he does it next year, at least.
i was very glad that george clooney won. he is such a great movie star. what a perfect speech too. very impressive. i LOVE that phillip seymour hoffman won, i think he deserved it. i liked that brokeback did well, but i do kind of like that crash won for best picture. i need to watch all the nominated pictures though.
and i think 40 year old virgin should have been nominated for at least 3 awards, and it should have at least won for best original screenplay, cause that was a GREAT movie, and an incredible comedy. SHOCKING that hollywood would snub a comedic performance (steve carrell) or a popular comedy. snap.
oh, and i had no idea that toby zeigler's wife from the west wing 1) was a singer and 2) had been nominated for an oscar. i was so confused trying to place her during her performance.
