Love Actually is...
I met Liz's boyfriend yesterday. He was a really nice guy and I could tell he made her really happy. We picked him up from the airport. It was just me and Liz on the drive up there, and it was so nice to hang out just the two of us. I miss her so much. We got to the airport with about an hour to spare and hung in the parking lot catching up before we walked to the baggage claim to pick him up.
It reminded me of Love Actually when Hugh Grant says that the one place that has the most love at Christmas time is the airport. Liz looked so happy to see him.
We went to lunch after he met the parents at P.F. Changs cause Chinese food rocks on Christmas Eve. I got to know him better and we seemed to have a lot in common. Hes studying poli sci but wants to switch towards pre med. He's a good guy for Liz and the whole day I was really happy for her. When I got back home I wished I could have someone like that. A person who lives across the hall from you in college. Someone to hold your hand or you and give random kisses to. Christmas, even though I don't celebrate, has a way of making people feel lonely at times too.
I was invited to have Christmas dinner with the Ball family but I declined because I knew they were just being kind by asking. Its a family thing, and I didn't want to intrude or anything. Whatever. I'm goin to see a movie with my family in a little bit. Holiday i think? I love the movies.
