In light of all the strange hoopla going on about the hurricanes recently i have a few words to say about media blitzing... Sensory overload causes callousness and apathy, hence showing me death destruction and the complete dessolution of societal fabric does not make me inclined to give over my blood and money to the red cross... That is why I dont like to watch the news. The Daily Show is the closest that i would/do accually watch. These sorts of events remind me how fragile life is and how little control we have despite all our technology. The media blitz on such things really cheapens it all. In this country most of us dont live our lives thinking of death being apart of it, and it being out of our control, and its like the media is trying to make up for that.
