The first was finding Komachi acting like a typical 1950s woman, which disturbed her rather greatly, the second was the various statues around that had not ( Read more... )

... I see. Komachi was a... friend of mine. I'm sorry she is gone.

As for the statues, I hadn't noticed anything. Then again, I've been in my room all day.

I am sorry she must be rendered to such a state. It was a comfort to have her here.

I noticed several around town, and not always in the same place they were last I saw them.

Komachi? ...Would you mean Onozuka-san, Eiki-san?

Yes, that would be her. She is my subordinate, so I was checking in on her.

...I see. Shinigami and Yama, that does make sense.

I'm sorry for your loss; she was a friend and neighbor to me, during her stay here. Though she would be at a better place, now; where she belongs, and where the laws of the dead and the living haven't been tampered with as badly.

Has she really returned? I would like to hope for that. The idea of thinking of her stuck as a drone like this would be sad.

[Adrian is coming up the front walk after returning from the high school, and when he sees the statue, he stops.]

...Eiki?

[There's something really unfathomably wrong about that statue, and with what he knows of the town and how many of his students were missing, he's not taking any chances.]

Eiki, get inside-

Sadly I can't do that.

[She doesn't take her gaze away, even while talking to Adrian.]

It moves when you don't look at it, if I stop, it may do something.

...here. I'll come up there with you, and we can back into the house with one or the other of us looking at it the entire time-

I wonder though, once we are inside, what will it do? I am capable of watching it for as long as needed, though I would rather try and remove it.
