At midnight, Ron realised he wouldn't be able to sleep. He was just staring at the ceiling, fully aware of the day. The sixth of February, his dad's birthday.
For a bloke who was never particularly aware of anniversaries and birthdays, he realised that had changed with every friend or family member who had died over the course of the war. Now, such days haunted him, with memories flooding his thoughts and making it impossible for him to quiet down his mind. He decided to take a chance and see if maybe Ginny was still awake. With Bill off with his family, the twins under the watch of the Ministry, and Charlie... well no one knew where Charlie was, it only felt all the more necessary that the two of them mark the date together.
Making his way to her door, he knocked quietly, not wanting to risk waking her if she was asleep.
