Percy flipped through the preliminary interview documents, making sure he knew what questions it was he was going to be asking. This task had been thrown on him last minute. He was supposed to be rubbing elbows with the rich and influential people at some Important Meeting, but he had favors to repay.
He was glad for the knock at the door. "Come in," he called. In his haste to prepare, Percy had actually forgotten to check the applicant's name. The door opened, hesitantly, and Angelina appeared in the doorway. Percy abandoned his search for paperwork. "Oh!" he said, surprised. "Well, introductions hardly seem necessary." He cleared his throat. "Why don't you have a seat and we'll get started. Just some preliminary questions to make sure you're up to Ministry standards."
Angelina looked a bit shocked at seeing him. He couldn't think why, though. It was common knowledge that he worked in the Ministry after all. "Right," he shuffled parchment. "I can't seem to find your application - what was it you were applying for again?" He hated to sound so damned unprofessional and unprepared.
