Reflections on mirrors (ha ha ha! I'm so lame.)
The last few days have been consumed in writing the paper that is the current bane of my existence, but (thank goodness) I've nearly finished it. Fingers crossed I'll have it done tomorrow - all six pages (yaaay!)
Part of it is on the late Middle Ages/early Renaissance idea of a mirror of conscience, which was supposed to encourage self-reflection and choosing the path of righteousness and blah blah blah. All I can think about now is the mirror being like a Sassy Gay Friend: "Look at your life! Look at your choices!" I suppose it would kind of throw off the flow of the paper if I threw that in, huh?
