It's been a long time since DOMA and the Orichalcos business. Perhaps you've forgotten all about it, the legends that went with it, the dragons and knights that went with it. Or like a jerkass maybe you've just been pretending it never existed in the first place, so what if it was filler, it was good. It's been years since then, years since the ( Read more... )

There was no need for him to come to her aid. That was the first thought that entered her mind when this stranger appeared before Cosmos. She wasn't rattled or disturbed by the roar of the dragon or the cloaked figures that surrounded her. She appeared more than calm, perhaps even stoic, preparing to raise her hand to summon her scepter to do away with them in her civilian clothes. Instead, he appeared and did the job for her.

"There was no need for that," she tells him, tilting her head to the side to further study him. He...looked familiar, like a distant memory. So close for her to grasp and yet still out of her reach.

Or perhaps it's his armor that strikes a chord within her, reminding her of her former life with her senshi and the Earth's prince.

He had to turn completely to get her into his line of sight, but still was leaning hard on his sword. He didn't feel like he was up to leaning off of the hilt after that expenditure of energy. The warrior only hoped that he wasn't bleeding too hard underneath all his armor, but that was to be worried about later.

"I brought them with me, so yes, there was."

Blue eyes narrowed ever so slightly. He brought them with him? Was he a new enemy, another incarnation of Chaos? He did kill those cloaked figures without hesitation, protecting her in a way. Was it a clever plan to try and gain her trust or a simple act of heroism? It was hard to tell what his motives were, but easy to see he was hurt.

"You wanted to put others in danger?" she asked, keeping her voice even and calm as she summoned her staff. Up from the ground came a scepter of white with a crystal with wings resting on the top. She reached out to hold it in her hand. She wasn't going to attack him, at least not yet, not unless he gave her a reason to.

"I did away with them." He said bluntly, pulling his sword from the soil and holding it tightly. She had a weapon now, and it had come from nowhere. This could very easily have turned against him if he didn't pay attention and he hadn't come here to die.

The blade was not raised at her, however, but held close to him. "I killed them because I don't want them harming anyone else."

"And yet you said you brought them here, or did you simply mean they followed you?" Although it was a question it was said as a statement.

She had no reason to believe him, to believe any word he said and yet there was something nagging at her, in the back of her mind that contradicted her instincts. There was something she should know about him, but nothing she could recall. Who was he? Where did he come from? More importantly, what should she do with him? Leave him with his wounds, to his own devices, or heal him?

The sword was drawn in closer, both hands resting on the hilt, leather gloves creaking underneath the strain of the hold. It was due to anxiousness and pain at the same time.

"They followed me." The answer had no hesitation to it and was sincere.

Cosmos stayed silent for what seemed like minutes, staring at the stranger as she carefully weighed her options. There were more questions that she wanted answers to, but he was not in the best condition to answer them. Yet, there was a danger to him if she kept him close by. He could harm her, though he would've done so by now. Or perhaps he was waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

"For what purpose did they follow you?" from his answer, she'd make her decision.

The entire time he was staring at her, adjusting his stance in very small increments at a time so as to not draw too much attention to it. His hands kept gripping and loosening on the hilt of the sword, perhaps a nervous twitch by now.

"Because I forced them to." He said without regret. "They were attacking my world and I was tossed out of it. I didn't want to leave my comrades, so the best option was taking them where I landed and easing the load for the others." Even if he wouldn't be around to determine if what he'd done had helped or not, it was still his duty.

He was doing what he thought was the best course of action for his homeland. Cosmos could respect him for that decision, but he had endangered the lives of the people here in this world and by that same token he saved them from his own enemies.

"You acted as a sacrifice," she said simply. He placed himself above others, something she could give him some respect for.

The crystal ornament that sat on the top of her staff floated off its resting place to levitate between the two of them, emitting a soft glow as it did.

"...Moon Healing Activation.." the moment the final word left her lips the light from the crystal sphere became brighter, reaching out to engulf the warrior it's light to heal his wounds.

As far as he'd been concerned, that staff she was holding was a weapon. So too any part of it would or could be used to harm him in some way. He took an immediate step back when the object came near him and his sword was raised quickly.

"What are you doing?" His tone was sharp and demanding. She was a woman, but obviously dangerous. There was something wrong with her, this much he had suspected ever since he laid eyes on her. She seemed calm, but that could also mean cruel and empty.

"Do you wish for your wounds to be healed or continue to limp around?" It was obvious that he was either extremely fatigued or injured. The way he leaned against the hilt of his sword earlier and how he seemed to push himself here.

Cosmos could be viewed as cruel at times. If you were a threat she would attack without mercy, believing it to be for the greater good. But empty? She was. Thousands of years of fighting, of watching life be taken away by the hands of her enemies left her numb. She locked parts of herself away from her heart to memories that she once cherished. The woman who stood before him was a shell of her former self, but with great power.
