I'm really starting to love seeing your username appear in my inbox because I know it means I'm going to get a long, thoughtful, detailed comment. ^_^

seeing Kame use magic like it's completely normal and in simple ways, showing that a) it's ok b) it can work and c) that there is hope for Jin kind of comforts Jin.

Yep! Kame might be known for all these big, important (profitable) spells, but it's not how he started out and it's not always that much fun, either. Kame's got a sense of fun and he's quite capable of doing frivolous things with his magic, and Jin needs to see that. It's okay to use magic to amuse yourself and others; it's not like making your own fireworks or anything like that is going to bring eternal doom down upon your head. It also helps close the gap between them somewhat, so that Jin knows Kame's not a million miles away from him.

lets hope that they've made the home above their store a bit more comfy so Jin can enjoy it too

Definitely. Kame's apartment doesn't cater that well to Jin (well, the bedroom might) but when they get a place together, it'll be of the tiny, cosy variety. And warmer! Harajuku's not exactly spacious.

From Mixed Messages I'm assuming there's still continuations of this to come

Hmm, maybe? I like writing little snippety things in this universe (Akame + magic = fun!) but if I take the plot where it was going there it could turn heavy and angsty. I think I have too many universes on the go! I'm not likely to be producing much over the next couple of months, anyway, as I'll be on holiday for some of it (South Africa, then Japan) and frantically busy at work in between, but you never know. I've got a whole bunch of drabble prompts to work on before I start anything new, however!

Thank you very much for another lovely comment. They make me so happy! ^_^
