I can't believe that I haven't seen that you've updated something for this universe. *_*
do you post your fics just here and on ficwars? I can't understand why here are no comments...

Just to prove that you're awesome:

And if he couldn't do that, he'd never pass his exams, and that would put paid to all of Kame's secret hopes and dreams.
I guess he never told Jin about his hopes and dreams?

Kame knew perfectly well that they wouldn't be moving from the couch for some time, whether the lesson succeeded or not.
Yay~ some action for Kame~

After all, it wouldn't do to fall asleep during one of Ueda's teaching sessions. He could wake up with tusks.
Alone the image~ *lol* Be a nice student or else...

"Clovers can't hurt you if you make a mistake. If you accidentally destroy my apartment building I'm not going to be happy."
There speaks experience with Jin. xD

Living things? Jin hoped Kame wasn't about to produce a puppy or something equally cute for him to leech energy from. There were limits to what he was prepared to do to pass his ( ... )

"After you almost blew your laptop up when you tried to fix the crack in the screen...yeah, I'd say it's safest to let the professionals do it."
Good to know that there are still some failures left.

He made a conscious effort not to claw his fingers after Kame started dropping hints about how much his shirt cost.
Fear the wrath of Kamenashi Kazuya if you destroy his expensive cloths. xD

"I like watching you do stupid things. Makes me feel so much better about my own magic use."
Aww~

At least I've never tried to turn back time just because I missed the start of a movie. Which you can't do without a five-part ritual, by the way.
*laughs* *laughs*

"Should I make the couch wider?"

"Hah! I knew that's what you were doing."
aren't they supposed to have some action together? xD

he could do so at far more stressful moments, like if someone pulled a knife on him.
*lol* good excuse~

It was quite the distraction for both of them, especially when Kame picked up the pace, and then talk was something better left for later, less breathless ( ... )

That's all right, it's not that noticeable when I update, and it doesn't happen that often anyway! Yep, I just post here and on ficwars - I don't generally crosspost to other communities unless it's something that suits it better than ficwars (e.g. for Yuukan Club fic etc.). Despite the 400+ members on ficwars, they don't comment very much these days - it's usually the same people - so what seems to happen is that people randomly find my fic journal through other sources/recs/whatever and then start working their way through!

Thank you very much for your detailed comments - I love finding out what works for people, what makes them laugh, what hits them and in what ways. It's all helpful feedback for me! I'm very glad you've been enjoying my fics so much. ^_^

I'm really starting to love seeing your username appear in my inbox because I know it means I'm going to get a long, thoughtful, detailed comment. ^_^

seeing Kame use magic like it's completely normal and in simple ways, showing that a) it's ok b) it can work and c) that there is hope for Jin kind of comforts Jin.

Yep! Kame might be known for all these big, important (profitable) spells, but it's not how he started out and it's not always that much fun, either. Kame's got a sense of fun and he's quite capable of doing frivolous things with his magic, and Jin needs to see that. It's okay to use magic to amuse yourself and others; it's not like making your own fireworks or anything like that is going to bring eternal doom down upon your head. It also helps close the gap between them somewhat, so that Jin knows Kame's not a million miles away from him.

lets hope that they've made the home above their store a bit more comfy so Jin can enjoy it tooDefinitely. Kame's apartment doesn't cater that well to Jin (well, the bedroom might) but ( ... )

Going chronolagically :Db

"It's a textbook, not a tennis ball," Kame said as he watched Jin throw a battered copy of 'Transmutation and YOU' across the room.

I have a feeling I know who the authour of the book is XP

Kame was like the sea, fiercely rushing in then playfully retreating; fluid, difficult to catch, and with a world's worth of power hidden beneath the surface.

I think this is one of the best analogies of Kame I've ever read.♥

I love again how Ueda and his sadism keep popping up every once in a while ♥ Clearly, he has scarred Jin XD

And the giant pink marshmallows!♥♥♥

I just really love the atmosphere between them all throughout the fic.♥

Oh yes, the author of that book would be one Mr. J. Kitagawa, the world's foremost authority on sparkly magic. ;-)

I think this is one of the best analogies of Kame I've ever read.♥

Thank you! Occasionally I hit on something I like the sound of; I'm pleased you like it too. I always associate Kame with the sea, somehow - probably too much of seeing him with a surfboard!

I'd hate to have Ueda as a teacher. Whether you were a good or bad student, you'd still receive the same beautiful smile, but if you were a bad student I hate to think what else you'd receive...

I kind of like the whole teacher/student thing, in a situation like this rather than a school, and it was a logical step before the two of them opened up their magic shop in Harajuku. Though I don't think Jin will get to do things like this in his exams!

I think Kame, Jin and Ueda all have pretty magical smiles - I can't do them justice with mere words, but I try! :-)

Thanks for commenting!
