In the Pacific Northwest, March was the month when the weather started to shift. It went from dark and heavy with rain to sunny with showers that happened at almost random. Not that it ever stopped day-to-day life of anyone in the climate. Rain was just a part of life.
Helen herself was visiting Seattle. Her meetings with contacts within the city had concluded that morning, leaving her with the problem of having an afternoon and evening free to herself. Free time wasn't something Helen had very often. She could have returned back to the Sanctuary, but she had the feeling that staying in Seattle would be a better idea. Maybe she'd find something to do.
Well... beyond sitting under an awning of Pike Place Market with a paperback book in her hands.
