on tuesday night katie picked me up and we went to rent some moo-vays. we made nachos, ate flavor ice and watched mysterious skin and y tu mama tambien. after some sleeping, we watched me and you and everyone we know in the morning.
wednesday afternoon laura came over and we took a walk on a new trail, which ended up being very nice. we went back to my house, looked at baby pictures. my uncle came and took pictures of us, which we realized would be really weird and funny later.
then people showed up for the goodbye to eric and deirdre party: michael, caroline, eric, heather, evan, ram, alex, max, emily, deirdre. later stu came and brought his friend asian sarah. there was too much food, we sat on my lawn and chatted until much later we stood around my kitchen and then the playroom. once quite a few people left, there was a walk to the construction site. heather slept over and we did a lot of talking.
on thursday, after heather left, i finally wrote my essay and had a nice relaxing evening to myself.
friday katie came over spontaneously. we made a delicious lunch and took an extended walk through the path that laura and i found. oh my katie.
friday evening laura and i headed off to fern for the picnic, but realized once we got there that we were in pretty bad moods to be picnicking, so we didn't really join in. sorry for the moodiness, all. laura, max and i walked to the center and hung around for a while since we had no money and then laura and i came back to my house to sleep. she left this morning.
it's the last weekend of the summer. i'm spending it with kid's company people, which i'm really excited about. i think i need to get away just a little before school starts.
