Veronica was in an excellent mood this morning. She and Dick had returned to town the previous night, given Lilly the souvenirs they had bought her and slept in their own bed.

She was in the kitchen, cooking breakfast and singing along with the radio.

Veronica was not flailing.

She was not panicking.

She was totally calm.

No, really.

It was two days until her wedding. What could she possibly have to be flailing about?

Veronica walked into the bridal store and blinked a few times.

"Can't I just order something off the internet?"

Veronica was in the kitchen, cleaning up after dinner. Dick was off playing video games. Lilly was in her room drawing. She didn't know where Isabel and Peter were, so when someone rang the doorbell, Veronica grabbed a dish towel and wiped her hands.

She opened the door, still holding the dish towel. "Can I help you?"

Veronica was sitting at the kitchen table, drinking coffee, and waiting for Lilly to finish getting dressed so she could feed her breakfast.

After a long discussion about wedding details: flowers, colors, cakes, menus and countless other details that made Veronica's head swim, Isabel finally declared that she had enough information for the time being.

Relieved, Veronica leaned back in her chair and sipped her coffee. "So... what happened with you and Wyatt?" she asked.

Veronica was doing some last minute tidying up before the wedding planner arrived.

When Lilly got home from school, Veronica settled her in with her homework and told her that she would need to behave while Mommy had her meeting or they would cancel her birthday party.
