So after stressing most of the day regarding my former Prince I finally broke down and told him what I had been told. He lost it! After listening to my whole story he laughed and told me that it was not true. I believe him. I really do. You may ask why and I'll tell you - he has never once lied to me especially when it comes to the status of past relationships. He is not interested in his ex, that's why she's an ex.
He then asked where all this information came from. I took him back through the chain of whispers. He told me exactly what happened when he stopped in to visit and then said, "she was texting someone while I was there and for all I know it could have been her boyfriend".
We've come to the conclusion though that either she lied to her boyfriend, or that the boyfriend lied to my friend's husband to try and make himself look like a big man. Either way, I got hurt, and they tried to make him look like a horrible person which he's not.
I have never been caught in such a senseless situation before. Now, my former Prince wants to confront his ex and wants the truth whether she started this or not. The only problem is that then my friend's husband is going to figure out that she told me, and his buddy his going to figure out that he told his wife. Confusing and frustrating isn't it.
I have asked my former Prince as a favour to me to not say anything, let's just be at peace with the fact that three out of 6 of us know the full truth. I had to call my girlfriend after he came clean because I couldn't let her sit there thinking that he's a bad person nor let her be ambushed should the rumour makes it's rounds again.
It's just frustrating that this guy tried to do this. I know he was probably thinking he was making himself look good but he also made a whole lot of trouble for a bunch of other people. Just don't lie is the moral of the story.
