...but scruffycritter fit the battle of Dell.
At the end of the day, FedEx is unable to deliver the package (duh, no one's home to sign for it) and they have been notified to send it back to Dell. Once Dell receives it they are supposed to refund the purchase price. In the meantime we have purchased another computer (complete with monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers) from Staples and set it up. Mama's email is restored and the picture files are downloading from my laptop as I type. I will be installing various programs including the all-important Scrabble, whose CD was rescued from the old machine just in time. The annual tech-support gig is progressing as expected.
In other news, it was sorta rainy and cloudy and sunny today. Pretty much Oregon weather. Instead of going downstairs to eat in the dining room we made roast beef tonight, and are planning on hash tomorrow because both Mama and I haven't had good hash in forever. Life is pretty good here in God's Country.
