Just to prove...once again...what a big, old history nerd I am, the story in the New York Times about the discovery of a huge hoard of Anglo-Saxon artifacts in Staffordshire made me giddy with excitement. Viewing the photos of the items in the find made me positively swoon. Oh, the delicious questions about its origins and the long-hidden messages from the past...
