Today's edible experiement is:
Panini-like bread concoction and
Pea salad type thing
Panini bread thing:
Step 1: Get yourself some flat bread (I chose pide). Cut that sucka open like you would a bread roll.
Step 2: Fillings. I went with a thin spread of fig paste, some brie, and a couple slices of tomato. Just cram that all in there.
Step 3: Cut the bread into manageable slices, roughly two or three inches long is pretty good.
Step 4: Put the bread into either a sandwich griller thing or into the oven.
Step 5: When the bread is nice and toasty get it the heck out of the grill/oven/whatever.
Step 6: Leave to cool a little, then proceed to consume the deliciousness that is before you.
Pea salad thing:
Step 1: Grate a carrot. Probably you should wash and peel it first. But then end result should ultimately be one grated carrot. Preferably in a decently sized bowl.
Step 2: Add a can of chick peas and a can of green peas and throw them in there too. After draining them. Draining them is kind of important.
Step 3: Throw in a bit of Flaxseed oil and some lemon. You could squeeze half a lemon over the bowl, or just do the lazy I-bought-a-bottle-of-lemon-juice-because-cutting-and-squeezing-a-lemon-is-too-difficult/time-consuming/boring/messy-for-me thing.
Step 4: Mix that stuff around. I'd suggest using a pair of spoons, but whatever works for you.
Step 5: Now is a very good time to be eating that salad. What with it being ready and delicious and all.
And that is how we put different types of food together to make bigger, more awesomely delicious food!
