#1  - On my Jury Duty summons it claimed that  we would be paid $50 compensation for our first day, $35 for any subsequent days (up to a week). During the orientation, the judge apologized; apparently after the notices went out the State legislature decided that wasn't financially possible, so knocked it down to $10 plus mileage.  Damn.  At least ( Read more... )

Well, today my husband mowed the grass, power-washed the outside of the house with anti-fungal solution (and discovered a ding in the aluminum siding, presumably from last year's storms - will have to see about repairing), got pre-treated two by fours from Menards to replace the front porch step railings, and dug up about half the garden in ( Read more... )
