Taking Today Off Work, Because!
With the way things have been going at work, I didn't DARE take my annual Birthday Week of vacation this year, which make me even gladder that I was able to take that week in May to go down to Texas for Da Niece's graduation from Texas Tech.
However, (keeping fingers crossed) come October 1st, the Interim Pastor will finally take office, thereby taking some of the burden off my shoulders.... Now, if only I could get the church's Answering Machine message changed !!!! The phone technician finally came and showed me how, but every time I punch in the pass code, the system tries to connect me with that Extension (which doesn't exist!). *Head Desk*)
At least BoyFriendZ finally bought himself a car -- a Jeep Cherokee, which looks more like an SUV than a traditional Jeep. He and Daughter received a quick and dirty tutorial in How to Purchase a Vehicle/ Secure a Loan --- which unfortunately included needing a co-signer since BFZ's credit rating tanked. Fortunately, BFZ has a job that pays pretty darn good (3rd shift, which SUCKS, but also why the pay is so good -- also why he needed the car, pronto!), so he should have it paid off in record time.
Which would be good for me, because I'm getting the feeling that my poor Adric's days might be numbered, and I might need to be looking at a car loan on my OWN behalf soon. The repairs have become more frequent lately -- Yes, I know, the downside of owning an older vehicle! But can anyone tell me when it became common for car brakes to need replacing EVERY TWO YEARS ?!?!?!
Well, enough of that. Daughter is taking me out to lunch today!
ARRRRRGHHHHH! Mateys!!!! Time to swash the buckles!!!
