Clumsy indeed~. Terebas had spent most of the day, since she'd changed that morning while at the estate, tripping over things. Right now she was carrying clothing, now too small, over to the bed to pack it into her bags (there were a few pieces of clothing of proper size waiting to be packed away in the drawers). And for a new addition, there was now a wooden practice sword laying on the bed as well. Her slingshot, also new, was still tucked into her back pocket where the Axels had likely noticed it earlier.

And she was pretty cheery, bruised shins or skinned knee notwithstanding, recounting her day. Clock adjustment, growing up suddenly (ow, clothes too tight!), lessons put off temporarily so she could adapt. Kind of a free day~. '...and Satara said Iris is coming soon, and she'll show me about ice.' And fire, but she didn't think Iris would have to help her there. 'She was friends with big-me.'

These people were just... everywhere. How much family did Basi have anyway? At least they had their uses.

"Did she now?" Axel asked with feigned curiosity.

Oh, quite a few. Most were unaware of all the details of Terebas's situation, at least....

'Uh huh~! Want to see her? Satara gave me some pictures.' She smiled, turning to look at him.

And thank darkness for that...

Axel grinned, more at her excitement than over seeing any pictures. As far as Axel was concerned, pictures barely captured a person's vitality. Pictures, as a rule, were just pale imitations of the original.

But that was something he'd impart on Terebas later.

"Why not. It's not like I have anything better to do."

She just giggled at him and pulled one bag open to rummage inside. What she came up with was a flattened piece of dark crystal, slightly more diamond- than square-shaped, and gleaming with hints of yellow, green and orange as the light hit it just so.

She poked at it and it flickered to life, showing a screen and simple interface. Page page page-- 'Here!' She held the device out to him.

When Axel looked at it, there would be a still image of the head and shoulders of a young woman, around his (apparent) age, with tanned skin, short silvery-white hair and rich golden eyes, smirking with almost challenging good humour at the camera. Even in a photo, the intelligence and sensuality of her perhaps would come through clearly.

Oh hey look, even more magical devices Axel had never seen before. Except... it didn't work like any magical device Axel had seen before.

Axel took the offered device (more of a crystal, really) and proceeded to poke at it a bit. Maybe he was not using it right? "What else does this thing do?"

Oh well. Axel glanced down at the picture and smirked. "Great," Axel said a bit sarcastically, "Does she like to talk?"

Sorta magic. Mostly magic. It got a little fuzzy on some worlds.

'That? Just stores pictures. But it can play video too.' She watched him poke, just a hint of a crease appearing and disappearing between her brows.

And blinked. 'I ... don't know. I haven't met her yet.' That was a strange reaction ... Terebas reached for the device. 'She travels a lot.'

Was he poking wrong? He could poke again. "You can watch movies on this?" Well, gee. That would have been useful for when she was younger.

Axel holds the device high. He's not done looking. "So why do you have a picture of her?"

'That's what Satara said.' She was just given it today, Axel~.

And she reached for it, jumping up even. 'So I'll know her when I see her. Give that back, I want to show you more pictures.'

Oh, like he would know that. "And you didn't test it out for yourself? Never solely trust someone's words when you can test it out for yourself, kid."

And let's play roller coaster with the crystal. "Can you take pictures with this thing?" Axel smirked at her for a bit before teasing her with the item a few more times. Once he's done playing 'keep away', he lowers the crystal to her range of reach.

'Of course I tested it!' Or played with, whichever. Grab at grab at. Axel plays keep-away, so Terebas plays "kick Axel in the ankle" a couple of times. :D It's all in good fun!
