so...stuff.
Interning
It's going okay I guess. Last week I got to operate the camera both days, for about an hour each time. Was very nerve-wracking at first, 'cuz I had the director in my ear on the headphones telling me what to do the same time he's telling the other camera operator what to do, and the people down in the control room. It was a little difficult at first, trying to focus on only the orders he gave me. But I got used to it, and even though I was only filming two people sitting down and talking, it was kinda fun. :)
Air Force Graduation
Okay, so I may have mentioned at some point that I was maybe going to a USAF graduation in Texas in January. Well, obviously that didn't happen. It's my mom's bf's daughter, and her BMT date got pushed back so she didn't leave 'till January. But anyways, the graduation is in March, now. And I also found out that I don't get to go. :(
I really wanted to go, 'cuz I've never been to Texas, and was really looking forward to being on a USAF base. But now I don't get to go because me, my mom, Bobby (her bf), and Robert (his son) all work at the restaurant together, and if we all go, my uncle will be working by himself, and he can't do that. We didn't find out until last minute that Rob was going, too. He was supposed to be going to the second graduation (after training school) in like April or something, but now he's going to this one instead. *sigh*
So, once again, everyone is going away without me. :( I'm pretty bummed.
Summer vacation?
Good news it that over the summer at some point, my mom is looking into renting a beach house in North Carolina. It's SO much cheaper to rent a HUGE, on-the-water beach house in NC for a week, than it is to rent a shack where you still hafta walk pretty far to the beach, here.
I've never been to NC, and as much as I've enjoyed our summer vacas in New Hampshire, it would be SO cool to go. Plus, NC has warmer weather. :P Last year when we went to NH it was COLD. ugh.
School
Got my first paper back from poetry class. Thought I'd done so bad 'cuz I did it last minute due to work and interning, but I got an A! :) I was so relieved. lol. The Prof even wrote 'Wonderful' in the margins. haha!
Plus, I was scared 'cuz it was on a Robert Frost poem, and Frost confuses me most of the time. He's always writing about two completely different things. Srsly. Read the poem, 'Birches.' It sounds like a lovely little New England poem about trees. It's NOT. lol.
