It's almost Thanksgiving! Whoa. I decided I was going to make a dessert this Thanksgiving, something we don't normally have, and as a test run I got a recipe for sweet potato pie and made one today. Well, actually the recipe is for Maple Bourbon Sweet Potato Pie, and it turns out, I'm the only one who likes it. :( *sigh* All that hard work. My mom didn't like that you could totally taste the bourbon, and she said it should be creamier. WTH.
So now I suppose I'll just get a recipe for plain old sweet potato pie and see how that goes. Dunno if I'll bother with another test run since Thanksgiving is already next week. I'll just hafta hope it turns out good. Oh well.
