well, it's been forever and a year since i've updated last, and i just decided that i still don't really want to update because i'd rather just give one of my famous rants. i figure the last entry was probably a little rambling or bitching, but i don't remember what it was about so that should give me license to bitch again. plus, if you don't want to read this bitching, you don't have to, that's the beauty of free will. in other words, love it or leave it, bitches.

today's rant goes like this: where you are from and what you have does not give you license to be an asshole, bitch, or all-around blight on the rest of humanity. personally, i don't care how rich you (or your family) are or are not, and i doubt that anyone else does, either. there are these basic rules of civility that people should be forced to follow... rules that you can't buy or beg your way out of because they exist for a very specific and justifiable purpose. and don't blame your parents for the way that you are, either. no one grows up with a perfect set of parents; they all make mistakes and indiscretions because parents are human. my theory is this: no matter how bad you think your parents are, at some point you learn the difference between morally right and wrong, socially acceptable and unacceptable. in other words, have some accountability for yourself and your actions (accountability and responsibility could lead me into a whole different rant, but i'll refrain for the sake of my blood pressure and everyone else's sanity). so in summation: your hometown, your affluence (or lack thereof), and your parents are NOT responsible for the way you are, YOU are responsible for the way that you are.

ummm other than my little rant, i'd like to tell everyone not to take the lsat in kalamazoo after sleeping for an hour and a half because you will not get the 175 that you've been praying for for the last 3 weeks. in fact, you may not even get the 171 that you got on the first test even though you felt really confident when you left the room. in fact, you'll probably do worse. while this wouldn't normally hinder your chances of getting into your dream school, it will if you wait till, say, december 27 to get the results and then have to scramble to apply before the deadline. you also won't be able to afford your dream school because you didn't get the mean score of a 173 that you reallllllly needed for your dream scholarship. so, in short, don't be me because it's not a good way to be right now. but, on the bright side, i'll probably be around detroit for another three years, woofuckinghoo.

i wanna stand up, i wanna let go
you know, you know -- no you don't, you don't
i wanna shine on in the hearts of men
i want a meaning from the back of my broken hand
another head aches, another heart breaks
i am so much older than i can take
and my affection, well it comes and goes
i need direction to perfection
help me out
yeah, you know you got to help me out
yeah, oh don't you put me on the back burner
you know you got to help me out
*~'all these things that i've done,' the killers~*
